The Kansas Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to announce that the David Schultz High School Excellence Award has been awarded to Michael Prieto of Garden City Senior High School. Michael is the son of Carlos & Mishele Prieto of Garden City. Kansas.

Only one senior high school athlete is selected per state. Michael is now a candidate for a regional award of the Midwestern states. Michael is a four time state champion at four different weight classes. His Father Carlos Prieto is the Head Varsity wrestling coach for the Garden City Buffaloes, who won their four consecutive 6A state championship this past February at the Hartman Arena in Park City.
