The new wrestling season starts off on October 6 with the Kansas Wrestling Weekend in Salina. With a wide range of clinics and meetings, this is the one weekend you don't want to miss!

The weekend starts with the NWCA Scholastic Leadership Academy at 10:00 AM on Friday. This is a particularly useful clinic for those Club Coaches that are looking to become Rule 10 Middle School or High School coaches.

Saturday's activities will start at 7:30 AM with the "Fritz Knorr" Fall Clinic. This year's clinic will include sessions by Heath Eslinger (University of Tennessee Chattanooga head coach), Cris Freije (Cloud County head coach) and Mike Clayton (USA Wrestling manager of Coaches Education). There will also be breakout session on freestyle/Greco wrestling, learning the new USAW membership system, girls' wrestling program development, the new USAW Safe Sport policy and other topics.

The KWCA is offering a special USAW-Kansas bundle this year, where you can register four coaches for the clinic and banquet, along with membership in the KWCA, for only $150 (a $280 value).

Following the clinic on Saturday will be the Hall of Fame Banquet, followed by the inaugural Kansas Wrestling Summit.  All KWCA clinic participants are welcome at the banquet.  If you want to participate in the summit, please send an email to mikejuby@usawks.com.

The weekend wraps up with district meetings for Districts 1 & 4, followed by our annual State Body Meeting at 1:00 PM.
