A new date is not the only change for this year's state championship tournament.  In a major change recognizing the growth of girls' wrestling, the state body voted to add the girls' division.  Girls wanting to compete at the state tournament must enter the girls' division.

Details will be forthcoming, but the procedure will closely mirror the requirements from the prior Girls' State Championships that have been taking place in McPherson in previous years.  There will not be a qualifier for this year, so all girl wrestlers are welcome to come and compete!
