Use the following chart to determine what age group you will compete in during the 2023-24 wrestling season. Each division is divided into 24-month groups, based on your age as of August 31 (immediately preceding the current season). The High School Division is available for wrestlers currently attending high school, or middle school if their age does not qualify them for a younger age division. Wrestlers qualifying for two different age divisions may only enter one of those divisions.

These weight classes were determined by the State Body Meeting in November 1995 and modified in September 1999, October 2007, October 2010, and October 2022.
Age classifications were changed in November 1996 and October 2009 (High School Division).
